When the strength of the screw jack is met, gear meshing of different materials can be considered to achieve the purpose of noise reduction.
1. Using a smaller pressure angle can reduce operating noise. Considering the influence of strength, it is generally taken as 20°.
If the structure permits, helical gears should be used first. Compared with spur gears, their vibration and noise reduction effects are significant. Generally, the helix angle is required to be selected between 8°C and 20°C.
2. On the premise of meeting the bending fatigue strength and fixing the center distance of the reducer, a larger number of teeth should be selected, which can increase the degree of coincidence, make the transmission smooth, and reduce noise. On the premise of meeting the transmission requirements, the number of teeth of the large and small gears should be relatively prime to disperse and eliminate the impact of gear manufacturing errors on the transmission. There can be a certain number of teeth on the large and small gears. Periodic meshing ensures smooth driving and low noise.
3. Within the economic capacity that the user can afford, the accuracy level of the gear should be improved as much as possible during design. Precision grade gears produce much less noise than gears with lower precision grades.
